IMT Matcher is a quality management system specifically created for IVF clinics and donor banks in the Assisted Reproduction Technology field, to help prevent errors through the misidentification of patients and their gametes and embryos. The system comprises software and networked IT hardware, and is used throughout the clinic, including cryo stores, operating theatres and laboratories, delivering major benefits to laboratory staff, doctors, nurses and patients.
The Technical Sales Specialist will have responsibility for three main areas of the IMT Matcher sales cycle: initial sales demonstrations of the IMT Matcher product to prospective customers; liaison with those prospects to identify their technical requirements and optimal configuration; and post-installation customer training of the Matcher system. The position will also require attendance at international conferences and support to distributors including customer workshops/events. In addition, the successful candidate will act as an industry and ART-process expert within IMT.
Demonstrate the IMT Matcher electronic witnessing product to customers in their clinic environment, at conference/workshops and remotely (eg via webinars)
Answer customer questions with in-depth product knowledge, communicated strongly in the context of the customer’s SOPs
Prepare and deliver both verbal estimates and written quotations
Take the initial lead on selling the Matcher product to the customer
Take details of the customer’s lab and IT / network configuration to feed back to the install and support team
Liaise between the customer and Matcher install team to ensure that initial customer requirements have been translated into the technical specification for install
Determine user requirements and configure the software to customers’ specifications to closely reflect their workflows and Standard Operating Procedures
Act as a change consultant to set expectations and manage the efficient implementation of the Matcher system into the customer’s clinic environment and assist with validation of the system post-implementation
Train clinic teams (including receptionists, nurses, embryologists, lab directors, doctors and clinic owners) to use and personalise the Matcher system
Maintain ongoing relationships with customer accounts to gather feedback, identify and resolve problems, and make recommendations as appropriate, in conjunction with the Technical service and support team.
Be the ART technical voice of experience and act as advisor to the Sales and Marketing, Product Development and Service and Support teams.
Essential candidate requirements:
BSc degree in Biological Science
Professional and positive attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication
Comfortable with presenting to both small and large international audiences
Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
Ability to work independently and use initiative to resolve problems or issues
Hold a clean and current driving licence
Eligible to work in the UK
Desirable candidate requirements:
Previous experience at Lab Manager / Lab Director level within an IVF setting
Understanding of the Matcher electronic witnessing product and competitor products
Previous business experience of product demonstration and training
Be comfortable with IT terminology and technical concepts and able to discuss and explain them to customers
Understanding of traceability and labelling requirements for IVF clinics (eg EU Tissues and Cells Directive and Single European Code)
Experience of quality management
Knowledge of the animal ART industry

Location: This could be a home-based role, with global travel required at least 50% of the time. It would be expected that the successful candidate would travel regularly to the IMT International office, near Chester, when not travelling abroad.
